Policy of IUPS2009 Concerning Protection of Personal Information

The IUPS2009 organizers promise to carry out the following policy with regard to the protection of personal information.

We shall comply with the laws and standards concerning the protection of personal information.

The collection, use, and provision of personal information shall be done in accordance with the laws and standards concerning the protection of personal information, and with the IUPS2009 Privacy Policy, which is based on those laws and standards. Personal information acquired from participant registration, etc. shall be handled in accordance with the "Personal Information Handling Rules" of Japan Convention Services, Inc., the event coordinator commissioned by the IUPS2009 organizers.

All personal information acquired shall be strictly controlled, and shall be used only for the purposes defined by the IUPS2009 Privacy Policy.

The IUPS2009 organizers shall properly and continuously guard against unauthorized access, loss, destruction, illicit alteration, or leakage of personal information, and implement any corrective measures needed to fulfill this responsibility.

All personal information acquired and/or used by the IUPS2009 shall be permanently erased by December 31, 2009. Until then, the IUPS2009 organizers shall not disclose or provide the personal information to third parties under any circumstances.
