1. Meet the Lecturers
The meet-the-lecturers program will be held during the period of IUPS2009 Congress in Kyoto. This program aims to provide young investigators and students from both domestic areas and oversea countries, with an exciting opportunity to communicate with world-renown scientists participating in the congress. 2. Beyond Gender Social
Date:   July 30. 4:45 pm - (about 2 hrs)
Place:   Restaurant ’Grill’ at Kyoto International Conference Center 1F
Fee:   free
Organizer:   Committee on Equal Opportunity for Women Physiologists, IUPS2009 (Kyoto)

This Social is planned to provide physiologists (both women and men) with an opportunity to communicate with the speakers of the ‘Gender Equality Symposium (RS G-55)’ and to promote gender equality. Food (sandwiches, cakes, etc) and soft drinks will be served free of charge. Participants will have a chance to wear ‘yukata’, a traditional Japanese summer garment. Participants accompanied by children are welcome. Shiseido will kindly distribute sample cosmetics to participants.

Those who wish to participate in this Social are encouraged to send an e-mail to socialbg@riem.nagoya-u.ac.jp in advance so that the organizers can estimate the number of participants.
